Re: Remove helmet at petrol station?

Just out of interest what do you hope to achieve by not removing your helmet? (Question not aimed at any particular individual). As I said above it takes two seconds to take your lid off, you'll have probably already taken off your gloves to get to your wallet. It is no hassle for you whatsoever. Y...

How did you get on mate?

Gimme shout next time you're up this way. I'm around tomorrow if you're local.

By local I mean anywhere North of Manchester. I've got a leave pass from the wife and will be hitting the twisties. :cheer:

Re: Remove helmet at petrol station?

I'd wager that 100x as many bikers visit your average petrol station each day than women clad in burkas. I live in Cumbria and I have never seen a woman wearing a burka anywhere up here, not least in a petrol station. I'd also wager that 100x more bikers steal fuel from petrol stations than women in...

Re: Remove helmet at petrol station?

I always take my lid off, it's hardly a pain in the arse. It's courteous to the staff in the petrol station and makes them feel less intimidated and threatened, in what must be a pretty dull and thankless job. I know we're not in the states where petrol stations get robbed at gunpoint every five min...

Re: anybody commuting into London daily?

My.......er......mate used to have a little scam going with trains that saved him a lot of cash. Purchase two open ended return tickets, one from home and one from your destination, what you want is a return part for each direction. I think these are valid for a month. At rush hour they often leave ...

Re: anybody commuting into London daily?

My sister lives in Leighton Buzzard. There is a quick train from LB to Euston. I'd do that. I used to ride a 125 around London, not a bad way to travel around, but I was having very near misses at least everyday. The odds are stacked against you. You will end up having a bad crash one day. Filtering...

Re: Calling all members of the Armed Forces...

Maybe worth bumping heads with this lot: http://www.armymotorsports.co.uk/Disciplines/Enduro At a push we could organise an expend and say we're doing enduro. The RN Ski championships is run like this. 2 weeks of pusser funded pissing up, thinly disguised as competitive skiing and AT. I think in ord...
