Re: For Sale: Tenere Face - fairing/light/screen/tower - Yamaha rally fairing
Pics seem to be working for me? And yes, you're right - you'd need to either weld or bolt an adapter onto most dirtbikes (I have a machined adapter which could be included if needed). On stuff like an old model tenere/xt660r there may be enough framework already in place to mount without much modifi...

For Sale: Tenere Face - fairing/light/screen/tower - Yamaha rally fairing
Bit of an oddity but also very rare to find as a full kit, I got quoted almost £950 from Yamaha for these parts. My plan was to mount this on a wr450 along with a rally tank and have a very factory looking 450 tenere. But house move means no time for bike builds right now so it's for sale, would als...

Re: Another one...My lightweight scorpa/yamaha greenlane bike!
Might even be one of the ones you rode with... I collected it from portsmouth so down that way. Chap i bought it from also had a beautiful gasgas with the same wr250 engine. And you're right about the wheels... I just had to do all the wheel bearings for exactly that reason... Lots of little italian...

Re: Another one...My lightweight scorpa/yamaha greenlane bike!
Its a t ride... As mentioned by frenchy, it runs the wr250f engine with a few mods... I spent ages trying to find one

Re: What are big Adventure bikes for?
My view would be there's no such thing as a do it all bike. I had an xr650r with the hope of it being somewhere between an enduro bike and a big ktm and while it was probably the best middle ground I've ridden it still sucked compared to a 990 on the road and was way too heavy, undersprung etc compa...

Re: ABR Midlands Rally 2017 sign up thread (7th-9th July)
Ha - :silly: the joys of motorcycles, just about to load the bikes in the van and found the riejus airbox is full of fuel, looks like a sticky float. Is it ok if instead of camping tonight we get there tomorrow morning at 9ish and join the rideout - hopefully have it fixed by then! :side: Have a goo...

Re: Another one...My lightweight scorpa/yamaha greenlane bike!
That is lovely. Exactly what off-roading should be about: light, minimal, nimble. Not this overloaded elephant nonsense so many people seem to think represents an 'adventure'. Nice bike. Thanks... B) (thumbs) I guess it's horses for courses, but after riding fairly lightweight bikes across Canada, ...

Re: Another one...My lightweight scorpa/yamaha greenlane bike!
Cheers all, Yep it's the 250f originally, so it runs the wr250 engine with a few tweaks...the service manual I have here says around 34hp which feels pretty good in what feels like a big mountainbike. Looks great :) Can the rear rack hold a lot of weight? No not really, there's no subframe beyond th...

Another one...My lightweight scorpa/yamaha greenlane bike!
So the plan here was to build something useable for trails in wales, but also general dicking about on rocks/tight tracks etc. So here it is - weighs near enough exactly 100kg, built it a rack, a little fairing for my phone/roll chart, added some spotlights for nightime riding, an aux tank, changed ...

Re: Trail info elan valley.
We just moved house down to Machynlleth, been riding the trails around Rhayader/Nant-y-Moch for years. I'd be happy to show you some of the loops down that way in a few weeks if you like...I know some all day loops from the elan valley down to devils bridge, up to talybont, over to aberdyfi etc (th...
