2008 Moto Guzzi Griso 1100 24,189 miles £3900 ono

Really nice bike but I bought it on a whim in September 2015 and have only done 1500 miles since then and, with a few others to choose from, I’ve decided to put it up for sale. Lovely torquey motor and decent suspension and brakes make it surprisingly sporty to ride, not quite as sharp as my GSXR but certainly easier to hustle than the Enfield ; ) Sounds lovely with the Termi pipe, not too loud even without the baffle and pretty quiet with it in but still sounds very nice.

It’s a 2v head 1100 (the best ones apparently!) in what I would describe as very good condition for the year. Bright red with some really nice details and very few blemishes or marks overall. Both keys, owners manual and service book all present.
It has what looks like a full service history with various receipts, service book stamps and all MOT’s and had an oil and filter change just before I bought it so may be due one by time passed but certainly not mileage. I had the supplying dealer (a Guzzi specialist) put a brand new pair of PR3’s on it last March and at the same time also had them fit the uprated silent block for the shaft drive, a recognised upgrade using the Stelvio part. Had brand new MOT last week, no advisories.
Previous owners had the following extras fitted:
Oil cooler cover
Termignoni exhaust with removable baffle (original pipe not available)
Aftermarket handlebars & weights (£120!) (original bars not available)
Pyramid Fenda Extender
Guzzi rack
Guzzi fly screen
I have added:
Shorty levers (originals available)
Bar end mirrors (originals available)
Optimate battery tender lead
I also have a Guzzi expandable tail pack to fit the rack, another oil cooler cover, handlebar risers and CD workshop manual which will all go with it if sold for very close to asking price.
Asking price is £3900 ono
I’m in Hampshire near Ringwood off the A31 and happy for anyone to come and view, I'll have the kettle on ready. I’m not in a desperate hurry to get rid (mileage may go up a tad) so I’ll list it on here for a week or two before the adventure that is fleabay. May think about a swap/px if you have something (very) interesting.

Lovely buke and a reasonable price iMHO but I am biased; I have two Guzzis (including a lovely Griso) and my wife also has a Guzzi. The Griso in particular is virtually unique in the biking world, only matched by BMW's original R Nine T however the Guzzis low-tech build means that owners can maintain them.

Thanks Jon but you're not helping by reminding me what a great bike it is, I now don't know why I want to sell it

Nice bike.
Always wanted one ...... but bought a mates Morini Scrambler 2 weeks ago so no room in the garage .
One of those bikes you could buy, ride occasionally and sell in a couple of years without losing money ........
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you but open your mind and you see a whole new World

I was half tempted to sell my Tenni green 8V SE model (rollerised) a month ago but I saw sense. It's a delightful bike to own and very engaging to ride.

It may not look it but it is comfortable for long distances, at least for me but I have the Guzzi proportions hahaha.

Good lyck with the sale and enjpy if you don't!

Hurry up and sell or decide to keep it please!!
I'm so tempted, always fancied a Guzzi, but a Griso won't quite the bike for 2 up touring. However, it would be a lovely bike for those sunny solo rides. I'm sitting here imagining that lovely V twin rumble. Gonna have to paint the house porch now to try to take my mind off it!

Had a guy from another forum I had posted it on come and see the Guzzi this morning and I actually talked him out of it saying; not the right bike for what he wanted, I'm not going to move on price and really I should give it an oil change (18 months but only 1100 miles since the last one). He's still gone away to think about it!

I am now massively leaning toward keeping it, I've got my NC700X DCT up for sale (as have just picked up up a DCT Africa Twin) and am going to go all out to sell that and then see what my thoughts are on the Griso
