At last, a pair of bike trousers where the knee armour is in the right place.
It's surprising but an inch at the knee can make a massive difference at the ankle. I had always had issues with bike trousers, whether they be leather, fabric, jeans or waterproofs, ending up half way up my shins once I get on the bike. Not with these, great fit when stood up and still a great fit when you get on the bike.
Waterproofing, excellent, they got a thoroughbtest in Sweden when the heavy rain almost turned every road into a river crossing.
Warmth, great even without the lining in.
Vents on the sides could do with being a little bigger.
Two thigh pockets, very useful.
With hip armour as well as knees, full and short zips and the massive range of adjustment at the ankle closure I think these are well worth the small amount being charged.

I bought my Spada Adventure Trousers as part of the suit, with the interlocking zip that comes as standard, locking it securely to the jacket to make it fully waterproof. I have done a few thousand miles in this latest addition to the Spada range and have been very happy with the results.

The knee protection is well fitted and does not rub like many that I have found. While doing endurance rides of 24 hours or more this can make the difference between making the ride and calling it a day. A slight rub can very swiftly become a blister!

I’ve not had any issues with water leaks in the usual places like the crotch area and with the artic liner in situ the pants offer great protection to the elements down to -3 from personal experience.

The multi strap Velcro system on the shin and ankle mean that I can wear any boots and have a snug non draft fit on the trouser leg. The backside is well padded and comfy for those long enjoyable hours spent in the saddle.

The multiple venting systems also give comfort for all weather riding.

At £105 I am hard pressed to find any fault with the trousers and they have delivered what the label has stated. Comfort, protection, versitilty and wrapped in an economical package.
