Hot off the press by Steve T - We have a go for the ABR Highland Simmer Rally peeps!! Get your names down. I have confirmed that there is space for a group of AB Riders at the following campsite in ullapool over the weekend 23-25th September 2011 . . . www.ukparks.co.uk/broomfield/ So, how many spaces should I book this for? The sooner I know numbers the sooner I can put a positive booking into the site. Group booking cost is £6 per person per night. So, who's up for a Highland fling? Just wondering if any fellow XL1000V owners/lovers may be interested in a few unusual bits and pieces off mine?

I'm sad to see my girl go and would like her special bits to be cherished and used right so this seemed the place.

Hi fellas can I tap into your experience ;I have just bought a Varadero on-line in South Africa 2009 model with 34000 km on the clock through GumTree for about 2500 pound. I am a frequent visitor to SA and got tired of groveling to borrow bikes from friends. Are there any quirks about this bike that I should know about before I pick her up in March ?

Hi there guys.

Just found ABR. Have been riding Varadero's for many years now.
I already know some of the names and few faces here.
Hope to meet a few more over time
Many safe and happy miles to you all.

Hi Eric, glad you like the bike, i think they are awesome. but i do agree with you over the seat issue, as a tourer i thought the seat would be a lot comfier, a couple of hours in the seat and i need to get off to get the circulation back in my butt lol. i am seriously considering investing in a air hog (seat cushion) a bit pricey i know but i think you could get on and ride for 400miles before needing to stop (Except for fuel of course:-) ).
All the best and happy riding.....

Went for my first run on my 2011 xl ,300 mile round trip from Cambridge to deapest shropshire ,I was abit concerned after half way when I got off the bike I had pins and needles in both hands ,and I felt the seat was a bit unforgiving ,but after softening up the suspension the p/n disappeared ,the seat is still not the comfiest, but with that said I enjoyed every mile ,I felt a bit outa place with my mates who are all Harley riders ,as I am ,but to be honest this xl would piss all over them ,and btw not one of them disliked the bike,so I'm well happy with the xl ,the Harley might have to go into winter storage now,see Ye around,,Eric.
